We have several "breeds" available already, and plan to add more Soon. Pick your favorite, or collect them all!

This one is:

Barred Rock – The Classic American FavoriteMeet the Barred Plymouth Rock (often just called Barred Rock), one of America's oldest and most beloved heritage chicken breeds! Developed in the 19th century right here in the USA, these hardy birds are instantly recognizable by their beautiful black-and-white barred feathers—neat alternating stripes that give them a stylish, zebra-like pattern.Friendly, calm, and excellent foragers, Barred Rocks are fantastic dual-purpose chickens: reliable layers of large brown eggs (about 200-280 per year) and great for backyard flocks. They're cold-hardy, docile with kids, and a top choice for beginners.

This plush amigurumi Chimkin captures that iconic striped look perfectly—complete with a bright red comb and sunny yellow beak—for a timeless addition to your collection!

Each Chimkin is hand made, and as such each is unique, but in general standard size Hens and Roosters are roughly 6 inches from beak to tail, about 4 inches plump, and about 5 inches tall. **Larger Chimkins are planned and will be announced once available**

Roosters or Chick versions of each breed are available but prices very based on production time

Please note that while we have some small stocks, if demand gets high and we run through our stocks these will revert to "make to order" and will be fulfilled in the order received

Care Instructions for Your Handmade Chimkin PlushYour adorable Chimkin is crocheted with soft chenille-style acrylic yarn, stuffed with polyester fiberfill, and weighted at the base with beans for that perfect sit-up pose. These materials are durable and kid-friendly, but gentle care will keep your plush looking fluffy and new!Preferred Method: Spot Cleaning (for light dirt or stains)
  • Dampen a soft cloth with cool water and a drop of mild soap (like baby shampoo or wool wash).
  • Gently dab the soiled area—do not rub vigorously.
  • Rinse the cloth with plain water and dab again to remove soap residue.
  • Air dry completely in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight or heat.
Full Washing (when needed):
  • Machine Wash: Place your Chimkin in a mesh laundry bag or pillowcase for extra protection. Use a gentle/delicate cycle with cold water and a small amount of mild detergent. No bleach or fabric softener.
  • Hand Wash Alternative: Submerge in a basin of cool water with mild detergent. Gently squeeze (don't wring or twist) to clean, then rinse thoroughly until water runs clear.
Drying:
  • Always air dry flat on a clean towel in a shaded, well-ventilated spot. Reshape gently while damp (fluff the body, adjust wings/comb, ensure the base sits evenly).
  • Do not tumble dry or use high heat—acrylic can melt or lose shape. Full drying may take 24-48 hours; turn occasionally for even airflow.
  • Once dry, give a gentle fluff and reshape if needed.
Tips:
  • Avoid frequent washing to prevent pilling or fading.
  • Store away from direct sunlight to keep colors vibrant.
  • Not suitable for children under 3 due to small parts (if applicable).
With proper care, your Chimkin will stay huggable for years of cozy adventures!
